Joseph Hackywicz

     Passed away at Third Crossing Manor, Gladstone on Thursday, January 31, 2008, Joseph Hackywicz, age 85 years.

     Joe was born February 19, 1922 at Garland, Manitoba. The family later moved to Punnichy, Saskatchewan and in 1945 moved to a farm in the Lakeland District where Joe farmed and had resided until moving to Third Crossing Manor, Gladstone in 2005.

     Joseph is predeceased by his mother Josephine and father John; sisters Agnes and Isabelle; and brothers Alex and Albert. He is survived by Eileen (Randy), Richard (Linda), Gary (Margaret), Ron (Bernie), Bill (Alice), Millie (Walter), Martin (Marlene), Mary, Jessie, Roy (Irene), John (Mary) and Frances as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

     Funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Clarke’s Funeral Chapel, Gladstone with Rev. Phyllis Thordarson officiating and Philip Thordarson presiding at the organ. Pallbearers were Chad Hackywicz, Jason Hackywicz, Allan Hackywicz, Brent Hackewich, Gary Fontaine and Glen Fontaine. Interment followed in the Lakeland Cemetery.
