“Massy”

     Massy was born on September 8, 1983 in Gladstone, Manitoba. Massy passed away in Brandon Hospital on Sunday, August 16, 2008 at the age of 24 years.

     Massy was into the healing journey and he always encouraged everyone to smudge and follow their traditional ways. He was also the lead singer in a pow-wow group called Sweet Grass Ojibway. Massy’s friends will miss him and carry on with all the songs that they had shared. Massy's godparents Stanley Hobson & Loretta Roulette and their daughter Doris Roulette will also miss him.

     He was predeceased by his father Kenneth Clements Roulette; his auntie Loretta; uncles Freddie and Robert; as well as two cousins Sherman Richard and Keith Roulette (Dipper).

     He leaves to mourn his passing, his mother Elsie Linda Anne Roulette; four brothers and three sisters Kenneth Roulette Jr. (“Sam”), Beverley Roulette (Johnny) their three kids Frederick, Gregory, and Coltin; William, Patrick and his two kids Kyla and Christina; Peter (Missy), Mona (Harvey) and their baby Haylee, Edna and her two kids Billy and Junior.

     Massy will be sadly missed by his whole family.

     Wake service began at the Roulette residence in Sandy Bay.

     Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Sandy Bay First Nation on Thursday, August 21, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. Interment followed in the Sandy Bay Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ronnie Desjarlais (tuk-tuk), Ronald Desjarlais, Norbert Richard, Devon Abigosis, Joseph Houle, and Jonathan Mousseau. All friends and family are considered honourary pallbearers.
