Joey Spence 36 years old of Langruth, Mb.

It is with great sadness that the family of Joey Spence announce his passing on March 27 th /2024, Joey was 36 years old and resided in Langruth MB.

Joey was born in Winnipeg, Mb and attended schools in Sandy Bay and Brandon Mb.

Joey tragically succumbed to his injuries from a motor vehicle accident following surgery at the Health Sciences Centre.

Joey was predeceased by his partner of 15 years Amanda (Mandy) on March 23/2024, sister in law Renata Beaulieu, nephew Nathaniel Kelly John Houle and Thomas Richard his other father.

Joey leaves to mourn his passing his 2 children, Josey and Joey (Little Fella), mother Cindy Henry and father Irvin Spence, grandmothers Doreen Spence and Yvonne Roulette. Siblings Bruce, Irvin, Michelle, Angel, Renee and Dene, his in laws Gloria and Lyle Beaulieu. His best friends who he considered his brothers the Richard boys Tom, Joe and Jason Richard, also Jean Richard who he considered his 2nd mother. He will be deeply missed by his aunts and uncles, cousins.

Joey was employed at Spud Plains for many years and also with Sandy Bay First Nation. Joey was a great outdoorsman, he was always busy hunting whether it was elk, deer or rabbit. Joey loved his wife and children deeply, there was nothing he wouldn’t do for them Joey was an amazing person, he was always ready to help people, often calling people and asking if they needed meat or wood. He loved to cook, he was a great chef in the kitchen making the most amazing meals and posting them on face book. He was also great at barbequing, he always had the best BBQ’s at this house or at the lake. Joey’s neighbors in Langruth often called on him to help with whatever needed to be done.

Joey will be forever missed and remembered by his many friends, family and co-workers at Spud Plains and Sandy Bay.

The family wishes to thank everyone for the outpouring of support and assistance from everyone in Langruth and Sandy Bay.

Wake to take place at the Langruth Hall starting on Tuesday, April 2 nd and Wednesday, April 3 rd .

Funeral services to follow on Thursday, April 4 th @ 1:00, Sandy Bay Community Complex, Feast to follow at Langruth Hall.
