Abraham Unrau

Abraham Unrau, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather went to be with his Lord and Saviour on Thursday, January 4th, 2018 at MacGregor Personal Care Home.  Dad was born on November 9, 1925 to parents Peter & Katherina Unrau at Lowe Farm Mb. He was baptized on the confession of his faith on June 11, 1949 at Kronsweide Sommerfeld Church.  He married Susan Thiessen on June 25, 1950 on her parents’ yard at Mayfeld.  He farmed in several different places and enjoyed many hobbies.  He enjoyed catching and smoking fish and had a passion for visiting sick and helping others.  He enjoyed making wood to heat his house and did so until 2014.  He left to cherish his memory his wife, Susan of 67 years, and 5 children.  Betty (Dave) Buhler, Martha (Irvin) Penner, Bill Unrau, Linda (Corney) Dyck, Trudy (Cornie) Guenther and his 22 precious grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, 58 great grandchildren, 15 step great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.  He was predeceased by 1 son in law, 1 grandchild, & 1 great grandchild.

The family would like to sincerely thank the staff of MacGregor Care Home and Clarke’s Funeral Home for their care and compassion.  We would like to thank family and friends for their prayers, food, & support.  May God Bless You.
