Beverly (Terrick) Barker

On January 3, 2019, Beverly Barker passed away peacefully in her home in McCreary, Manitoba surrounded by her family.

Bev was born on July 6, 1948 in Ste. Rose du Lac to her parents Steve & Katie Terrick (nee Petrowski). She was the oldest of three children and was raised with her brother Johnny and sister Ella on the family farm near Glenella, Manitoba. In 1967, Beverly married Garry Barker and they continued to farm and raise their three children just a mile down the road from her parents until they moved into McCreary.

Beverly was a patient and generous woman who loved to care for all living things, whether it was plants, animals and flower beds. She devoted her life to her entire family, and would take great joy and pride in watching her grandchildren eat an entire roaster full of her meticulously prepared homemade perogies and cabbage rolls.

Beverly was predeceased by her father Steve in 1996; her mother Katie in 2005; and brother Johnny in 2018.

Bev will be forever remembered and missed by her husband Garry Barker; her children Randean Pauwells (Garry), Trent Barker (Janette) and Jaylyn Barker (Kenny); her grandchildren Bryce Pauwells, Kayla Hopkins (David), Brett Hafner, Kurena Hafner, Drake Barker, Dylan Barker, Ethan Barker, Haley Firlotte and Madison Firlotte; her great grandchildren Makayla, Rylynn and Aurora Hopkins; her sister Ella Muzyka (Larry); and her many nieces and nephews.
