Clifford Kennet Whitford

Clifford is survived by four children; Derek (Mandy) and their children Hayden and Riley; Corey and his boys Darian, Lucus and Cole; Vanessa (Kyle) and their children Logan and Rayne; Sean and his girls Taylor, Emily and Eden; three sisters Beverley (Pat) West and family, Marjorie (Brian) Spence and family, and Ruby Whitford and Family; aunt Mary Gillis in B.C. and numerous cousins in B.C and Manitoba as well as other nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Clifford was predeceased by his ever loving wife Antonia Malcolm; his mother Doris Whitford; nephew Perry Whitford; aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents.

Clifford was raised by his grandparents Edward & Cecile Whitford; his biological parent was Doris Whitford who loved him very much. Clifford grew up in Amaranth and went to school at Amaranth Collegiate. He also attended Brandon University and studied Mechanical Steel Drafting at ACC in Brandon. He became a Mechanical Draftsman and worked under Structural Engineering. Clifford’s first job was in Amaranth, he worked in Haddad’s Store and later at Dominion Bridge in Winnipeg. He also worked for ABECO Steel in Winnipeg and Calgary, AB, until he retired. When he retired, he decided to spend more time with his children and grandchildren and family.

Clifford enjoyed fishing and hunting with his children and grandchildren. He also loved his cars and enjoyed traveling. He also enjoyed the company of his favourite cousin Dwight Whitford.

Clifford will be brought home to Amaranth Hall February 7, 2019. His celebration of Life will be held at 9:00 am until 2:00 pm and then he will be taken to Our Lady Of Angels Catholic Church in Amaranth for the Funeral Service. He will be laid to rest in the Haven of Rest Cemetery, Amaranth.
