Elsie (Loewen) Dyck

            Passed away at the Portage District General Hospital on Friday, June 14, 2019 at the age of 91 years.

            Mom was born on June 20, 1927 in the Rosenbach District. She was educated grades 1-8 at Rosenbach school. She was baptized at the Winkler Bergthaler Church with Dad before they got married. She was raised on the farm by her parents B.J & Agatha Loewen (nee Hildbrand). Mom married Bill (William) Dyck on August 27, 1948 and they had 2 children, Barbara in 1949 and Richard in 1951. They farmed there till 1966 when they moved to Gladstone. In 1979 they moved to the Bagot farm and in 1981 they moved into Bagot.

            Mom was predeceased by her parents B.J & Agatha Loewen; In-Laws John & Maria Dyck; husband Bill in 2010; brother Ernie Loewen; sisters Verna Dyck and Diane Doell; brothers in law Abe Wall, Dick Reimer, John Dyck, Herb Dyck; sisters in law Gertrude Wall and Joyce (Howard) Loewen; nephews Eugene Loewen, James Dyck and Donald Reimer.

            She is survived by daughter Barbara; son Richard; daughter in law Jo-Anne and grandson Ryan; sister Ann Reimer; brothers Alvin, Wilfred and Howard Loewen; sister in law Sandra Loewen and their families.
