Florence Virginia Spence

           Suddenly, without saying goodbye, Florence Virginia Spence was called home by the Creator on Monday May 20, 2019 at the Health Science Centre. We lost a wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother.

            Florence was predeceased by her parents Florence & Jim Houle; daughter Molly Spence; and granddaughter Vanessa Spence; sister Janet Houle; great grandson James Spence. Florence leaves to mourn her loving husband of 57 years, John and their children Sherry, John, Teresa, Rebecca, David, Jeremiah and many grandchildren & great grandchildren.

            Florence Virginia Spence was born and raised in Sandy Bay. She married John Spence in 1961 and together they had seven children – one lost in infancy. Virginia was employed as a receptionist with the Sandy Bay Health Centre for 20 years. She enjoyed gardening, especially her flowers. She loved the outdoors and loved to read. She also enjoyed her soap operas, bingo and playing slots.  Virginia’s joy was her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her infectious smile and laughter is what everyone will always remember about her. She never greeted you without that smile. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother who will be dearly missed by all whose lives she touched.
