Frederick Charles Edwards

With heavy hearts our family announces the passing of Frederick Charles Edwards after 4 months of battling lung cancer. He passed away on April 27, 2019 at the Portage District General Hospital at the age of 78. He resided at Silver Ridge, MB. He was born on July 8, 1940 to Robert & Gertrude Edwards. Left to treasure his memory are his beloved wife of 55 years, Anne; and their children Christine (Paul) and Sydnye Berard, Wiley (Lori-Ann) Lucius and Makenzie Edwards, Teri (Darren) Jaida, Canaan and Kyra Letkeman; siblings Lyle (Francis) Edwards, Harold (Lucy Primeau) Edwards, Gladys (Doug) Campion, Joan Fletcher (Dell), Melvin (Penny) Edwards and brother in law John Critchlow as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Fred was predeceased by his parents Robert & Gertrude, and siblings Blake (Em) Edwards, Evelyn Critchlow, Verne (Glenis) Edwards and nephew Warren Edwards.

            There are so many people to thank, the amazing nurses and aides on the medical unit at the Portage District General Hospital, Cathy Hogue (social worker), Debbie Janzen (Palliative Care nurse), Betty Klassen and Ellie May Lilyhome for allowing Mom to stay all those weeks, and all of our family and friends for visiting, their prayers, and support.
