It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of George William Corrigal to cancer, age 84 of MacGregor. George was born on July 18, 1934 in the Orangeville District on the farm. George was a hard working farmer of cattle and grain his entire life. His love of sports – baseball, hockey and stampede kept him glued to the TV. He was passionate about his gardening, fruit trees, pumpkins and vegetables. He loved fishing, watching Darlene’s girls play hockey, had a soft spot for Rodney’s boys and was very active in all his grandchildren’s lives. He enjoyed many visits and sweet treats from Art’s girls. He spent many hours in a semi with Art and loved to tell of all the stories after. He especially enjoyed visits and baking and homemade soups from all of his neighbours. CFRY 920 could always be heard when you walked in his home or when you phoned him.
George is predeceased by his wife Evelyn; siblings Allan (Loretta), Grace (John), Gordon (Eve), Myrtle (Stewart) and Mervin; parents George & Ida (nee Lambert); Debbie Clarke. He leaves to mourn Rodney (Kim) Oliver, Aiden, Grayson; Darlene (Dave) Rachel, Emily; one sister June (Gary) and brother Bud; sister in law Loretta; Art (Maria) and family; also Gwen, Bernice (Bill), Milton, Brenda, Cole, Teresa (Jeff), Cassy, Mike (Bracken), Kiera and other family too many to mention and he loved them all dearly.
