Grant Miles Kirby

It is with heavy hearts, that the family announces the passing of Grant Miles Kirby on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 35 years.

            Grant is survived by his mother Ruby Whitford; his children Bernadette, Rapheal, Pharrel, Latoyia, Kayla; brothers Gordon (Sheila) Whitford and family, Joe-Joe and family, Matthew and family, Lyle and Family, Scott and Family, Wade and family, Perry and family, Charlie and family, Harrisonford; sister Princesstabbatha and Baby Charliegh and family; godparents Tony Whitford and Angie Beaulieu, godchild Lorielle Roulette; step dad Elliot Houle; and his many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

            Grant was predeceased by his dad Wallis Lyle Kirby; grandmother Doris Whitford and Alex Barn; grandparents Elsie Richard and Ben Kirby; niece Rosy Whitford and cousin Perry Whitford; uncle Cliff Whitford.

            Grant was born in Gladstone and raised in Amaranth. He received his education in Amaranth and Sandy Bay, later moving to Sandy Bay and then to Portage la Prairie. He was an artist and what he really enjoyed doing was tattoos. Laughing with his friends was his greatest time.

            Grant always had a smile and you could see it from far away. He had a keen sense of humour that all enjoyed just to be around him. You could feel the joy of a good cheerful guy that we are truly going to miss very much. His children were his pride and joy, as well as his family. We will all miss him so much.

            The family would like to thank the doctors and staff and MCIU on the 4th floor at the Health Sciences Centre for their care.
