Isaac Quiring Obituary

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Isaac Quiring on January 22, 2020.

Isaac was born to David and Susanna Quiring on June 5, 1927 on the family farm near Aberdeen, Saskatchewan.  He had six sisters and five brothers.  Isaac received his education at Hesselwood School.  His family moved to Edrans, Manitoba when he was about 15 years old.

As a young man, Isaac married Agatha Wiebe in 1949, and together they had two sons; Rick and Lionel.  Isaac had several jobs before becoming a grain buyer for Manitoba Pool Elevators for 38 years.  He started his career at Helston, Manitoba as an assistant manager.  He then moved and took over as manager at Maples, near Virden.  He also worked at Wawanesa before ending his career in MacGregor.

After the passing of Agatha in 1994, Isaac married Betty Brown in 1996.  He loved to go fishing, camping, travelling and gardening.  He liked his German Shephard dogs and owned several over the years.  Isaac was very active within the community.  Some of his volunteer organizations included Mennonite Central Committee, South Western Manitoba Harness Association, Food Grains Bank and Little League Baseball.

Isaac moved into Third Crossing Manor in February 2011 and was there until the time of his passing.  A special thank you to the doctors and staff there for their loving care, and to his wife, family and friends for their continued love and support.

Isaac was predeceased by wife Agatha; his parents, David and Susanna; three brothers: Cornelius, Henry and David; five sisters: Suzie, Annie, Agnes, Katharina, and Mary.  Isaac is survived by wife Betty, sons Rick (Bryer) and Lionel (Janet); grandchildren Jaret (Erin), Topher, Frazer (Marley), Alex, Drew and five great-grandchildren; one sister Helen Fehr of Edmonton, brother Frank (Dorothy) of Winnipeg, brother Jake (Pat) of Austin and numerous nieces and nephews along with Betty’s children and their extended families.

Isaac was much loved and will be forever missed.
