There are no words to describe the absolute devastation and heartbreak we feel over the tragic and senseless loss of our beloved Kurtis. He entered into the spirit world on May 22, 2019 at The Health Sciences Center in Winnipeg, Manitoba, surrounded by loved ones.
He will be greatly missed by his girlfriend Ryley Lavallee, daughter Izareia, son Kurtis Jr (Kye) and his unborn baby girl, his parents Colleen and Curtis, sisters Season (Jon) and Nikki (Clayton), brothers River (Phoenix), Phoenix (Trinity), Parker (Promise) and Corban (Cassidy), Grandpa Walter, nieces Layla, Lainey, Lily, Liberty and Sadie, nephews Trent, Hayden, Jonathan Jr, Jace, Jude, River Jr and Phoenix Jr, best bros Alex, Dillon M, Lloyd, Antonio, Sonny, Stan Jr, Justice, Junior, Dillon S, Anakin, Ira and Kenny J, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was pre deceased by his brother Curtis Jr, maternal grandparents Henry and Muriel Richard and paternal grandmother Betty Beaulieu.
Kurtis was a loving father; his children meant the world to him. He was looking forward to the upcoming birth of his daughter. His smile lit up the room, and his laugh was infectious. His passion was hockey; he was a force to be reckoned with on the ice. His favorite team was Chicago Blackhawks. He loved gaming, playing Fortnite and PUBG with his many gaming bros. It was very rare to find him not wearing his headset. He was extremely protective over his family. In keeping with Kurtis’ loving and generous spirit, the family has decided to donate his organs. From this terrible tragedy he has given the gift of life and saved/enhanced the lives of 7 people throughout Canada.
“No farewell words were spoken, No time to say goodbye, you were gone before we knew it and only god knows why. Our hearts ache in sadness, and oh how the tears flow, what it means to lose you, No one will ever know.”
