Nicholas Lukianchuk

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our Dad, Nick Lukianchuk, born Dec. 4, 1928 in Horod, MB, died with family at his side Feb. 28, 2018 in Gladstone, MB age 89 years.

Dad was predeceased by his parents John and Mary Lukianchuk, brothers Stanley Lukianchuk, Frank and wife Marion Lukianchuk and granddaughter Agnes Rose Roulette.

Nick leaves to mourn his wife and partner of 55 years Theresa Lukianchuk;
brothers: Adam (Lynda) Lukianchuk, Ernie Lukianchuk, Les and Lenny Lukianchuk; sisters: Lena ( Fred) Sadowick, Jean Chute , Vicky (Jim) Nakoneshny, Francis and Stella Lukianchuk; children:  Melvin (Betty), Virginia (Richard), Nick (Sheila), Merle Lukianchuk; 7 grandsons, 7 granddaughters, 5 great grandsons and 15 great granddaughters.

Dad was a truck driver for 55 years, retiring with Reimer Ltd in 1998 with several safe driving awards. He was proud of his heritage and often spoke of how his grandparents Constance and Teklia Lukianchuk came from the Ukraine by boat and settled in the Elphinstone, MB area where their house still stands on a hill.  Dad and Mom settled in Amaranth in 1967 where they raised their family.

We would like to thank Dr. Alan Macklem of Portage, who was Dad's Dr. for 32 years, Dr. Laurelyn Juadiong and staff at Gladstone Hospital and all the staff at the Third Crossing Manor who took excellent care of Dad in his final months.
