Peter Teichroeb Peters

Passed away at his residence in Austin on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at the age of 75 years.

Peter T. Peters was born in Winkler, MB on July 22, 1943 to Cornelius and Aganetha (Teichroeb) Peters. He grew up in the Winkler area and helped on the farm until at the age of 18 was in a garage fire in 1962. In 1963, he moved with his parents to the Mayfeld area. He lived on the farm with his parents until 1967 when he moved to Austin to farm with his brother Cornelius (Helen). This same year, Peter was baptized in the Reinlander Church upon the confession of his faith.

Peter farmed in Austin until 1975 when he started working at Campbell Soup in Portage la Prairie. He continued working there until 1980 when his brother Cornelius passed away. He then moved back to Mayfeld with his parents and brother Jake. He remained at the farm until the passing of his parents and continued living there until 1994 with his brother, when they moved to Austin.

Approximately four years ago, Peter suffered congestive heart failure and continued failing health. On August 19, Peter passed away in his home.

Peter was predeceased by his parents; one brother; three sisters; a nephew and a brother in law. He leaves to mourn his sister Nettie Guenther from Holland, Kentucky; brother in law Ben Penner from Bolivia; sister in law Helen Peters in Sydney, MB; sister Tina Peters in Terrace, BC; sister Jeanie and Menno Guenther from Muddy Pond, Tennessee; brother Jake Peters form Austin, MB and brother John and Agnes Peters; 32 nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Peter will be sadly missed by us, his family. We know that he went Home to be with his Heavenly Father and we look forward to meeting him there someday.
