It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Ron Leclerc on Wednesday, February 20 at the age of 77 at the St. Boniface Hospital. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Genevieve of 50 yrs, sons Mark (Heather), Michael (Andi) grandchildren Allyson, Chloe, Nathan, Scarlett. Ron had many brothers and sisters on the Leclerc and Kusiak side as well many many nieces and nephews. Ron was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Alice Leclerc and his in-laws Czeslaw and Stefania Kusiak.
Ron and Gen married in 1969 and soon after that they were blessed with Mark and Mike. One of Ron’s greatest accomplishments was graduating from the faculty of engineering. Ron designed and built the house on Stoneham where many memories were made. Ron was a plane enthusiast which included building an ultralight plane. He enjoyed sitting outside and watching the planes fly over the house and could name them all. Hockey was a big part of Ron’s life, as both boys played for many years. He met many lifelong friends through hockey. Ron loved his family and always looked forward to visits and phone calls. He loved sharing stories with his grandchildren who were his pride and joy. Ron was a man of strength and integrity and was an inspiration to many up until his final day. His genuine smile and positive attitude did not waver even through his many health issues and life changes he endured.
The family would like to extend our Heartfelt thank you to the dialysis unit at the Seven Oaks General Hospital for all the laughs and support they gave to both Ron and Gen, especially Al McBurney who Ron had a special bond with.
We will think of you always,
Love you
