It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Albert: husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. Albert was born in Hong Kong, ‘number 6’ of 13 children. Albert was always ‘a wind beneath my wings.’ Quiet in manner and supportive in every way as a partner for 50 years and father to our children. He enjoyed teaching, especially math. His hobbies were cooking and singing, and he loved to travel. During retirement he liked to spend time doing sudoku, yard work, and taking (or being taken) by Rex for a walk. He continued to enjoy cooking—there was always soup on and supper ready for me whenever I returned from work.
He was a member of the United Church choir in Gladstone for many years with a beautiful voice.
He was predeceased by his parents, two sisters and brother, three brothers in law. He is survived by his wife Eva, children Greg (Diana) and Naomi (Jamie); grandchildren Nisa, Darren, Alita, Evan, and Aria; brothers Tom (Betty), Eddie (Linda); sisters Patricia (Siew-Hoong), Vivian, Belinda (Tobi), Susanna (David), Priscilla, Wyman (Eric), and Anna (Dan), Linda J and many nieces and nephews and friends.
He will be missed by many.
