It is with broken hearts we announce the sudden, tragic loss of our beloved brother, uncle, nephew, cousin. Alex was 56 years old.
Alex Joseph McIvor was predeceased by his grandparents Lowie & Christine and Vital & Elsie. His parents Alex McIvor Sr. & Adele McIvor; sisters Joyce and Audrey.
Alex (Luck-a-gee) as everyone knew him at home at “Gaa-Wiikwedaawangaag’ Sandy Bay First Nation. He was a very friendly person, he loved playing baseball and hockey with his friends and family. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and enjoyed the nature of life. He spent the rest of his life living in Winnipeg, Manitoba but always took the time to visit his sisters and brothers. He loved spending time with his siblings and cousins, especially bingo nights, he enjoyed listening to Johnny Cash and fiddling tunes. He leaves behind his brothers Archie and Ronald; sisters Betty, Melinda, Irene and Mary. Numerous nephews and nieces. Alex really loved his family.
