Beverly Ann Fraser, known as Bev to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2025, in Gladstone, Manitoba, at the age of 72. Born on November 22, 1952, in Morris, Manitoba.
Bev attended Gladstone Elementary and Gladstone High School, where she formed lifelong friendships.
Throughout her life, Bev was a person of many interests and talents. Her adventurous spirit was equally matched by her love for sports, as she enjoyed playing baseball. Bev was also dedicated to her community, working tirelessly for six years maintaining the beauty of her town by cutting grass, ensuring that public spaces were welcoming for everyone to enjoy.
In 2010, Bev faced challenge’s when she was diagnosed with cancer. She met this challenge with the same grace and resilience that characterized her approach to life. Her strength during this time was an inspiration to all who knew her.
Professionally, Bev was a respected figure in the Royal Canadian Legion, where she worked for 15 years as a manager and bartender. Her dedication to her work was evident in the care she provided to the patrons and the meticulous way she managed the establishment. Bev was more than an employee; she was a friend and confidante to the Legion's members, always ready with a kind word or a helping hand.
Above all, Bev was a loving and devoted mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She is survived by her son David and his wife Olivia, her adored grandson Isaiah, her brother Brian, and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. Her passing is deeply felt by a multitude of friends who were blessed to know her. Bev was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Bea Fraser, and her brother Ron.
