Darren enjoyed playing guitar and jamming with whoever he could get to jam with him. He loved listening and playing guitar to AC/DC. He enjoyed working on cars when he was able to. He enjoyed driving around and reminiscing and looking for old cars. He collected many hot wheel cars and collectables, he had quite the collection.
Darren liked telling jokes, he loved watching the Winnipeg Jets in the winter and the Toronto Blue Jays in the summer. In his earlier days he liked his jobs, which was driving the “$h*t truck” as he called it, and he was a security guard at the Daycare for many years.
Darren was a true believer in his traditional ways. Darren enjoyed loving up all the children and had nicknames for all of them. Darren always tried to motivate his nephews and nieces to finish school or to pursue careers. Darren loved to try all kinds of different foods, eating at different kinds of restaurants and enjoyed cooking and trying new recipes.
Darren fought a long and courageous battle to stay with the people he loved. We love you Darren, we will miss you and never forget you.
Thank you to the dialysis nurses at the Portage District General Hospital. He always said they were awesome and loved them.
