Delaney was born in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba.  He was raised most of his life in Sandy Bay, where he attended Isaac Beaulieu Memorial School.  He grew up in the townsite and enjoyed visiting his godfather Thomas and learning what Thomas had to teach him.  Thomas always had something new for Del to learn.  Delaney enjoyed floor hockey, ice hockey.  He even became a goalie and was very good at it.  Delaney also liked drawing Dragonball Z, going to Duck Mountains where he camped and hunted.  This is where he killed his first buck.  He was Mr. Fix it around the family area.  He liked going visiting his cousin’s places asking if they needed anything fixed or if they needed a helping hand.  He liked working on computers, cell phones, cutting grass, cutting wood, and he loved fixing speakers making speaker boxes and blasting his music with the bass.  He really loved the BASS.  If you knew Delaney you would know how much he liked his stereo systems bass, and speakers.

He recently learned how to play horseshoes and got very good at it.  The boys around the neighborhood would always want to challenge him.

Delaney was a very fun, funny, caring, loving, free spirited person who liked helping others.  He was the type if you didn’t have a shirt, he would take it off of his back.  Delaney then became a father to his son Baby Del.  He spent as much time as he could with his son always wanted to go back to Sandy Bay to visit with his whole family.  Delaney had his own little family with his common-law wife Melissa of seven years and a daughter Melena.  He was a great father to his son Delaney and daughter Melena also a very great partner/husband to Melissa.  He was always very happy when it came to his family whom he loved with all of his heart.

Gone but never forgotten. ~ Daddy
