It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Dennis Gordon Rothwell on July 25, 2024.
Dennis was born in Flin Flon, Manitoba on June 3, 1944, the only child of Gordon and Maymie Rothwell. In his years in Flin Flon, he hunted, fished and played hockey. Dennis moved with his parents to Sidney, Mb. at the age of sixteen. He completed his schooling in Sidney and Austin. He worked at a service station in Sidney and for many farmers in the area. While working for Ramsey’s in Carberry, Dennis attained his mechanic’s ticket. He enjoyed helping with community activities and events. Hockey, curling and baseball were the sports he took part in.
Buying the farm South of Sidney, where he could have cattle and horses truly made him happy. After a long and happy time on the farm, Dennis and Peggy moved to Austin.
He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 57 years Peggy, his sons Michael and Billy (Denise) and his grandson Morgan.
Dennis will always be remembered for his sense of humour, quick wit and his many stories.
What more could a man ask for?
I had a good life, a good wife, great sons, horses and cattle, and a good little cattle dog.
What more could a man ask for..
