Edith Loretta Habke (nee Hay) October 2, 1941-September 27, 2025 Edith Loretta Habke (nee Hay), age 83, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2025.
Born in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba on October 02, 1941, Edith grew up with a strong love of family and the land. On October 16, 1965, she married the love of her life, Art Habke. Together they built a life on the farm in Plumas, Manitoba. Here, Edith poured her heart into raising and caring for her family, gardening, and canning She also found joy in embroidery, making beautiful pieces that have been cherished by many. For the past 10 years, Edith lived at Country Meadow Care Home in Neepawa, where she was surrounded by kindness and comfort.
She is predeceased by her husband, Art, her son Billie, her parents Grace and Norman Hay, sister Ella Finlay, and sister in law Donna Hay.
Edith is lovingly remembered by her daughter in law, Dana (Mike), granddaughters Caitlin and Miranda, greatgranddaughter Charlotte, sister Norma Radford (Barry), brother Fraser Hay, along with extended family and friends who will miss her warmth and gentle spirit.
