It’s with great sadness that I announce the passing of the most amazing woman of all, my mom Maggie. Born on February 1, 1960, Elizabeth Margaret Roulette, well known to everyone as Maggie, sadly passed on February 4, 2024.
Maggie was a beautiful soul who loved to reach out and help everyone she could. Maggie could often be seen laughing / cracking jokes.
Maggie grew up in the Langruth / Gladstone area in her early years & later moved into Amaranth where she called home.
Maggie worked many jobs in the community, from driving taxi for Watson’s & driving for Sandy Bay taxi, making many friends along the way. Maggie would often treat her passengers as family instead of patients, always willing to offer her words of wisdom or give someone a what for if they needed to be straightened out.
Maggie owned and operated the tow truck company for years, loving every customer and person who walked through the doors of her store. Maggie also was an avid baker, she loved baking for her grand babies and friends, she was well known for her amazing bannock and cinnamon buns, often bragging about how she would always win first in a baking competition.
Maggie had two children, Camilla and Bradley whom she loved with all of her heart.
Maggie found great comfort in doing crafting up at meeting place, making jokes and sharing meals with everyone who stopped by.
Not long ago mom started working up at silver ridge, she loved seeing the customers daily, it was always a new day, new story.
Maggie would often be seen driving around with her life time partner Gordon, they would always shoot the breeze with everyone. Loving everyone visit, challenge, and adventure. Maggie would often take off to Winnipeg just to surprise her daughter and grand kids. She loved to yard sale, auction sales, you name it Maggie was there.
Maggie was a pillar of the community, often hosting the events held at amaranth hall. She was also security for dances for many years, she would get a kick outta the party people. Always laughing and making sure everyone was having a good time.
