Esther Dyck was born on September 12, 1948, to Henry and Elizabeth Wieler in Winkler, Manitoba. She passed peacefully at the age of 75 in her home on October 18, 2023, in Austin, Man. Esther married Peter Dyck on July 8, 1967, and they raised 3 daughters and 3 sons on their farm south of MacGregor.
She leaves to mourn her children, Annette Vankoeveringe, Michael, (Cassandra) Haysten Jeremy, Emily, Darlene Dyck (Ed) Derek (Alissa), Heather (Eric) Cassidy, Joel, David, Jonathan Dyck (Jessica) Zachary, Joshua, Benjamin, Shauna Anderson (Bill) Jade, Avery, and Gemma as well as Kyle and Angus Olson.
Esther grew up in a large loving family with 8 brothers and 4 sisters in the Austin area. She moved to BC for a brief amount of time before returning to Manitoba. Esther married her sweetheart and moved to Winnipeg for the first 5 or so years of married life before settling on their farm 9 miles south of MacGregor. Here they also farmed pigs, cows, and chickens. After retiring the farm, Peter and Esther moved to Austin in 2010 making memories in the community with family and friends. Esther’s love for Jesus was shown in the way she loved others.
Esther is predeceased by her husband, Peter Dyck, parents, Henry and Elizabeth Wieler, Son in law, Randy Vankoeveringe, Grandson, Mathew Vankoeveringe, brothers John, Henry, Jake, and Pete, sister Katherine (4 siblings in infancy).
Esther will be missed by her family and friends dearly. Thank you to everyone who has been part of her care and prayer team this last month, Special thank you to Eva Doerksen.
Though he brings grief, he will show compassion, so great is his unfailing love.
