Eva (Braun) Hoeppner

            It is with great sadness that the family of Eva Hoeppner (nee Braun) announce her passing with family at her bedside at the MacGregor Personal Care Home on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at the age of 94 years.

            Mom (Eva) was born on February 19, 1926 to John C. and Elizabeth Braun near Plum Coulee in the R.M of Rhineland, where she also received her education.

            She was baptized on the confession of her faith on May 23, 1945 and married Anton “Tony” Hoeppner on November 1, 1953. Together they raised sons John and Peter and daughter Betty.

            Mom and Dad retired to Austin in 1982 where they loved when family and friends would visit. Mom always had time especially for her children and grandchildren and took great interest in everything they were involved in. Her precious great grandchildren came along just as they were in full-time retirement. Family meant everything to Mom. She loved to follow all and any activities her family was involved in. Her passion was her family and friends.

            Mom was predeceased by her husband Tony of 57 years on October 13, 2010. She leaves to mourn her son John (Coleen), grandchildren Crystal and Erin (Mike), great grandchildren Ashton and Kayden; son Peter (Mary), grandchildren Timothy (Suzanne), great grandchildren Austin and Evan, Dan (Emi), great grandchildren Elexis and Aliah and Marica (James); daughter Betty and granddaughter Amanda; two sisters Gertrude Dueck and Agatha Kauenhofen; in laws Peter and Mary Hoeppner from Medicine Hat, AB, Jake and Emily Hoeppner, Henry Hoeppner and Ike and Dianne Hoeppner all of Morden, MB, Anne Sherren from Ajax, Ont and Cliff and Tina Hauk from Edmonton, AB.
