Franklin Richard Obituary

Franklin left us too sudden without a goodbye. He was a good father and grandpa to all his children and grandchildren; he had nicknames for all of them to show how much he loved them. Franklin liked driving around with his wife Kim, and would go visiting in Winnipeg with his sister Corrine and brothers Ward and Darren. He loved laughing and telling stories. With a good sense of humor, he liked to joke around. He liked teasing his three grandsons, Moanie, Stewy, and TooToo, and would laugh about it. Is grandchildren loved him so much.

Franklin used to play hockey and baseball; his baseball team was called Warriors & Ridge 44. Franklin worked hard for the community as a carpenter and septic driver, delivering water for ten years. He loved singing, playing guitar, and hunting with his friends. He stopped doing what he loved to do when he started getting sick, finding out that he had diabetes.

Franklin believed in his traditional way, and taught his children and grandson Jayden. He met his wife Kim in 1987, married in 1990, and were together for 39 years. He had six children, and one he called son, Dennis Racette. He also has another son, Christopher McIvor. Franklin lost his daughter Jeaniene on January 12, 2022, and he misses her dearly. He would always talk about her to his sister Corrine.

Franklin loved working around the house; he also learnt how to make Bannock. He always cleaned up his yard, and loved working on vehicles. But in the recent year, he stopped doing things due to his sickness.

Franklin is now with his daughter Jeaniene, and other three they lost due to miscarriages; four grandchildren due to miscarriages; parent James McKay and Irene Richard; parents in-law Kenny and Bertha Levassuer; sister Catherine Levasseur: sister Lorna Mousseau; aunty Mary Doreen; uncles Johnny, Kenneth, Rodger, Wilfred, and Rupert.

Franklin leaves behind his wife Kim, whom he was with for 39 years; children Ashtyn (Sarah), Antonia (Tyler), Austin, Amberlyn, Arieal (Justin), Dennis Racette (Renee) whom he called son, and Christopher McIvor (Carol); four grandchildren who he helped raise Jayden, Reylin, Jeylin, and Reynold Jr; grandchildren Deland, Tyler, Allarah, Kayson, Tailyn, Dwayne Jr, Ryland, Kielan, Braydon Racette, Brooklyn, Rehtaeh, Dennis Jr, Kennedy, Kinew, Kierra, Angle, and Cherish; sisters Corrine, Bonnie, Roxanne, Maryanne, Angie, and Greta; brothers Ward, Darren, and Merle.

Franklin had a lot of cousins, nephews, and nieces.

We love you Husband, Dad, Grandpa. For all the help you did for us, for all the stories you shared, and all the teachings you showed us. Now it is us that will keep caring, and keep them going for all the grandchildren. We will continue telling your stories and cherish the moments we shared with you. Till we meet again, Husband, Dad, Grandpa. We love you so much.
