George Friesen

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of George Friesen (79) of Gladstone, MB.  George passed away with his family by his side at the MacGregor Health Centre on January 4, 2023.

George was born on February 15, 1943 in Gnadenthal which is a village in southern Manitoba. Raised at the family farm south of Gladstone, MB. 

George had a mechanic shop well known in the community repairing vehicles and farm equipment.

George was also very well known around the airport in Gladstone.  It was here that you would have found him with the coffee pot always full, looking after the airport property.

George was very active, tinkering in his shop, flying around the country side, hunting, snowmobiling and riding motorcycles kept him busy

George will be missed dearly by many friends and family.

As per George’s wishes, no funeral or memorial service will be held.
