George Froese Obituary

George Froese was born on July 5th, 1929, near Morden he was the 16th child in the family the youngest. When he started grade school at seven, he could not speak or understand English so that was bit of a challenge.

Some time before he was ten he developed Rheumatic Fever probably the only major illness he had before he had the heart attack in March.

As a young teenager him and some of his friends would bring the cattle down to graze at the community pasture in the morning and return them to their owners in the evening .A couple years later he would work with his brother in law Ed Gundrum and after that he worked for neighbor of Uncle Ed's Bob Jagger then he went to the lumber camp he worked there from 1950 -1960 he then farmed from 1960 till about fifteen years ago he still had a strong interest in all things agricultural.

He married mom (Rhoda Holmes) in 1960 they had two sons, George in 1960 and Ricky a year and a half later.  Ricky would later die in a farm accident. I was told by an older cousin that the dynamic of our family changed considerably after the accident dad was an amazing jack of all trades and really kept the repair bill low on every thing most of buildings on his yard he and his brothers build and he always had one of my cousins helping him with the farm more so during seed time and harvest kind of like Batman and Robin.
