Passed away on November 6, 2020 at his residence in MacGregor, Manitoba. George was born in Winnipeg on February 3, 1967 to Bruce and Joy Milne. He grew up at Sanford, MB, married and had 3 daughters and 3 adopted sons. The next part of his life was at Union Gospel Mission, worked at a potato farm, then back to UGM where an important part of his life and healing happened. He lived at Bill and Shelly’s, then moved to the Rest Haven in MacGregor where he passed away.
George was raised on the farm; his best friend was his brother Kevin. He was a hard worker – baling, feeding animals, seeding and harvest time was a way of life. He loved working with tools and with his hands, creating a sprayer from a vehicle, and building a dune buggy were just a few of the items he made happen.
George was predeceased by his father Bruce Milne and brother Kevin Milne. He is survived by his mother Joy Milne; sisters Shelley Unger (Bill), Colleen Allan (Bill), and Judith Hogg (Richard); daughters Sam, Tawny, and Rayne; stepsons Brodie, Colter (Alison), and Jesse (Kayla) and their mother Teresa; grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
George enjoyed teaching his kids many life lessons that they will continue to pass on to their own children. They had many family memories created exploring the outdoors. The kids have great memories of camping at St. Ambroise, fishing, and being pulled behind the tractor on the trailer through the endless trails in their yard. The boys worked endless hours together on cars and snowmobiles, always trying to have the fastest snowmobile. The annual wood cutting weekend on Thanksgiving are filled with memories they will cherish forever.
