Gertrude Pauline Kreutzer

Our family is saddened to announce the peaceful passing of Gertrude Kreutzer on Monday, September 8, 2025 at the age of 93 at Gladstone Third Crossing Manor.

Gertie dedicated her life to her family and will be fondly remembered by her daughters Cheryl (Kieran), Kathryn (Richard), Lori; grandchildren Ryan, Shawna (Mike), Liam (Shin), Dylan (Kaylee); great grandchildren Makayla (Fabian), Eva (Kalen); great-great grandchild Mya.

Gertie was born December 3, 1931 at her parents' home just outside of Plumas, Manitoba. Gertie was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. Gertie had a happy childhood growing up on the family farm. She was predeceased by her parents Adam and Sophie (Wutke) Walker; her brother Edward and her twin brother Raymond (Alice).

On June 29, 1951 Gertie married the love of her life Reinhold Kreutzer. They farmed in the Maitland district where they raised their three daughters. In 1989 they retired and moved to Plumas where they built their new home. Gertie was predeceased by her husband May 1,2003.

Our mom was busy with various farm chores, planting and harvesting her garden. Mom enjoyed visiting with family and friends. There were several trips with our dad travelling across Canada, USA, cruising sunny locations and the Holy Land.

Gertie was involved in Church activities, Plumas Hall committee and Plumas Senior Club. Mom enjoyed Old Tyme Dances and was a regular Plumas Pirates fan.

The family would like to thank the staff of Third Crossing Manor for their dedication and care with our mom, Gertie. Your kindness will always be remembered.
