Gordon William Mousseau, Billy or Jayjay as everyone knew him, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by loved ones on March 11, 2023. Billy was born on June 22, 1961 in Gladstone, Manitoba.
He was predeceased by his parents Harold and Lena Mousseau, sisters Mary (Bopeep), Dona, brothers Arnold (Goody), Ricky, nephews Clayton (Bugsy), Arnold (Smart) and Nathan (Jamish).
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 26 years Doris, his children William (Felicia), Betsy (Justin), Keith (Lydia), Waylon (Rena), his other children who he raised as his own Keneshia, Shannon, Shawna, Shawn and Draven, his 22 grandkids, his god children Sheldon, Lance, Phyllis, April, Amanda and Jocelyn, his siblings Valarie, Wendy, Laura, Mona (Barney), Ron, Cecil (Judy), Thomas, his best friend Wendall (Goojim) and good friends Andre (Delores), Barney and many other relatives.
Billy & Doris were together for 42 years and were blessed with 4 children. He was a hardworking and devoted husband, father, grandfather and took such pride in his family. Every birthday, graduation, and celebration, he would be there dressed sharp with a camera and his wife by his side, no matter how far they had to travel. His joy was his wife Doris, he always helped out with her projects and made sure she was happy. Billy brought the laughter and life to the party and welcomed everyone into his home. He always made sure to crack a joke and make others laugh even before they get to take their shoes off. Billy was a man of many talents, such as a hunter, carpenter, mechanic and a business manager. He spent over 20 years employed at the Bulk Station and connected with many community members, business partners, customers and his staff who all took pride in working together.
Billy touched the hearts of many people and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
Special thanks to Seven Oaks Hospital Staff and Sandy Bay Heath Centre Staff for their care and support in Billy’s final weeks of his life.
