Harry Joseph Roulette (Pashkye) (Makade Makwa/Giizhigo Biness – Black Bear/Daytime Thunderbird). It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dad, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great- grandfather, brother, uncle, godfather and friend, Pashkye, on Saturday, June 30, 2018. Pashkye was born on February 20, 1944 in Sandy Bay Reserve, Manitoba. He lived most of his life in Sandy Bay, but left home to work with local farmers in clearing land for farmland and took seasonal jobs off the Reserve to provide for his family. He lived the Mino-Pimatissiwin road, a great Indigenous Knowledgeable man, a Sundance leader, a healer, visionary, led a sacred traditional life and a very humble man. He married his first wife Audrey in 1962 and had 8 children with her. They were married for 28 years. She passed on to be with our Creator in 1990. Later he married Lillian in 1994 and helped her raise her grandchildren Dale and Cheyanne McLean. She passed on to be with our Creator in 2008.
He leaves to mourn his daughters Arlene; Rona (Michael); Susan (Ringo); Tanya; Eve (Stryder), sons: Paul (Samantha); Francis (Harriet); Jeremiah (Falina); his numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; his numerous nieces and nephews; his sister Mary and his many, many friends in and around the community of Sandy Bay; stepchildren Christopher and Florence. He was predeceased by his parents, Louis Parker and Christine; wife Audrey; son Harry Joseph ‘Kidney’ Roulette Jr; granddaughter, Hope Dumas; grandsons Stewart and Keanu; great grandchildren, Tristan Mousseau, Eric Roulette, Sunraye Levasseur, Stewart McIvor III; brothers, Arthur and Percy; sisters Adele and Christina; godson Calvin Roulette; sons in law Raymond Levasseur Sr., and Brian Beaulieu; second wife Lillian and step children Michael, Stewart and Gladys.
