Helen Klippenstein, our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday September 19, 2025.
Helen was born to Peter and Helen Hiebert on November 22, 1939, in St. Joseph, Manitoba where she attended school until the family moved to Altona. Her family were neighbours to her future husband Harry, whom she married on February l6, 1958. She and Harry moved to St. Pierre and eventually settled in the Bagot area with the Klippenstein family in 1963. She and Harry raised four children on the farm.
Helen appreciated nature and the peacefulness of the outdoors. She was keenly observant regarding the operations of the farm and the ongoing progress of the crops. She enjoyed flowers and especially planting and tending her vegetable garden, canning and preserving from its bounty.
Helen was a devoted homemaker and mother. She cherished her children. She delighted in the arrival of her grandchildren and took a strong interest in their lives and activities. Great grandchildren were a special gift to her, and she brightened instantly at their presence, reaching fondly to amuse or hug with affection.
Left to mourn her passing are her children Wayne, Ken (Heather), Cheryl, Shawn (Jill). Grandchildren: Trevor (Saima), Nicole(Kevin), Holly( Kurtis), Mark, Jane (Jared), Adam, Hartley, Braden, Amy (Ashton), and Kailey. Great-grandchildren: Jack and Leah, Jersey and Hailey, Daisy, Alley, Colton, Tex and Clint, Natalie and Eleanor. Siblings: Mary (Ed), Peter (Margaret), Jim, and many sisters and brothers-in- law. She is predeceased by her daughter-in-law Audrey, and her beloved husband of 63 years, Harry.
Helen had a strong faith in God. We are grateful for her life and will not forget her loving ways and gentle smile.
“Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.” (1 Corinthians 13:13).
A private family service will be held, in accordance with her wishes.
