Helena (Goertzen) Reimer

Helena Reimer (Goertzen), of Winnipeg, Manitoba peacefully passed July 28, 2021. She was married for 42 years to her late husband, Jakob Reimer. 

She was predeceased by her son Albert.

Left to treasure her memory are her children Peter (Helen), Martha, Elsie (Stan), Rosie, Miriam (Grant), John (Ev), Ruth (Serge), daughter-in-law Wilma, and many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. 

She was born, raised, married, and started a family in Mexico before moving to Canada in 1968. She dedicated her life to her family and to her faith. Her days were spent gardening, cooking, sewing, embroidery, charity work, and prayer. In her later years of life, she enjoyed colouring, crafting, bingo, and conversation. She lived her life by example of hard work, a kind and generous heart, and a warm hug and a bite to eat for whomever stopped by for a visit. 

A heartfelt thank you for the excellent care and sense of family and community provided by the staff and caregivers at Heritage Lodge. 

A private family service will be held in MacGregor, Manitoba.
