It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Herbert “Herbie/Herby” Joseph Roulette who began his journey to the spirit world on October 19th, 2023, at the Portage District General Hospital at the age of 63 years.

He leaves to mourn his children; daughter Kristin (Shane), sons Herbert Jr. (Savanna), Jules, Luke McIvor, daughter Lehya McIvor. Grandchildren; Alexis, Kerridyn, Shane Jr, Jordan, Lynneah, Tianna, Zakk, Kianna & Elias. Siblings; Iris (Edward), Carol (Charles Sr), Daryl, Diane, Luke (Cassandra), Daniel Sr, Susan (Leslie), Stanford (Carol), Lorielle (Ernie), Patrick Sr (Linda), Fern (Peter), Lisa, Sonja (Kevin).

Predeceased by parents; Joseph Pascal Roulette & Amelia Marie Roulette. Brother; Russell Prince. Sisters; Angela Eastman & Phyllis Christine. And Infant Baby-Boy.

Dad was employed with Sandy Bay School as a substitute teacher for a couple of years. He was also employed as a medical transportation driver for Sandy Bay Health Centre and was security for Sandy Bay VLT’s. Dad had a passion for hockey. We travelled all over Manitoba attending OCN Blizzard games and he loved watching hockey (Montreal Canadians). Recently he focused on his great-nephew Conner Roulette.

Dad loved spending time visiting family and friends. He loved his coffee, cracking jokes, playing bingo, slots, and of course his fast cars!

Dad was musically inclined! He loved to sing, play guitar, and even had a fiddle and harmonica. He passed on this passion down to his older sons.

We are going to miss dad’s infectious smile, his jokes and his visits. He was always concerned about all his children and grandchildren. He loved everyone equally and blessed many of us with his own nickname.
