Howard James Vital Richard, 28, was suddenly called home to Creator on November 30th, 2024, in Winnipeg Manitoba.

Howard was born on February 5th, 1996, to Wallace McIvor and Wanda Richard in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba.

In October of 2017, Howard met Ibadeta (Bada) Berisa in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Howard and Bada went on to have 3 children, Mohammad Berisa, Malik Richard and Keyaan Berisa.

Howard spent the majority of his growing up years in both Portage la Prairie and Sandy Bay First Nation. Howard enjoyed socializing and just spending time with friends and family. Howard especially loved being with his children and partner Bada. Howard is now in Creator’s place of unconditional love.

Howard was greeted in the spirit world by his mother Wanda Richard and his infant son Mohammad Berisa as well as all the relatives and friends that journeyed before him.

Howard will be forever loved and missed by his father, Wallace McIvor; his partner, Bada Berisa; his children, Malik Richard and Keyaan Barisa; his siblings, Kelvin McIvor, Cameron Hall, Farrah Richard, Patrick Richard, and Genevie Richard as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Wake will be held at Sandy Bay Complex beginning on Saturday January 4th, 2025, at 4:00 pm with funeral services on Sunday January 5th, 2025, at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the charity of their choice.

Creator knew that he was suffering

That the hills were hard to climb

So Creator closed his weary eyelids

and whispered Peace by thine.

Away in the beautiful hills of Creator,

by the lake of rest so fair,

Sometime, someday, we know not when,

We will meet our beloved Howard there.
