John Harvey Jones

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of John Harvey Jones.   John passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at the Third Crossing Manor in Gladstone at the age of 82 years with his wife and sister in law at his side.

John was born on October 27, 1940, in Portage la Prairie to Harvey and Norah Jones. 

John resided in MacGregor all of his life.  John worked for the highway department in Westbourne Manitoba, and when he retired from this, he furthered his education by going to Red River Community College in June 1984.  John was a barber and had a shop in MacGregor.  After many years of bookkeeping and barber school, he went to work for Nelson River Construction. 

John is predeceased by his parents, brother Ron, nephew Shawn, and sister-in-law Donna.

John leaves to mourn in his passing his wife Margaret; sister Doreen Henry; brother Gerald; sisters in law Sandra, Mary Prosser; brothers in law Bill Prosser (Jennifer) and Arnold Prosser; step daughter Cindy (Brad) grandsons Trin and Dylan, step daughter Wendy Sokol(Barry) many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
