John Zacharias

With broken hearts we announce the passing of John Zacharias, loving husband of Mary.

John passed away in the early morning hours of Friday, July 3, 2026 at the age of 82 years with family by his side at The Boyne Lodge in Carman where he resided since April.

Left to cherish John’s memory is his loving and devoted wife Mary of nearly 61 years.  Their three sons Rod (Kerri);

Wes (Nancy) and their children Ashley, Alyssa (Riley), Graham;  Ken (Sally) and their children Keigan (Danielle), Ethan, and Keira.

He is also survived by four brothers, four sisters and their families. Four brothers-in-law, six sisters-in-law and their families.

John was pre-deceased, by an infant Son at birth, Grand Daughter, his Parents, his Parents-in-Law, one brother, two sisters, six brothers-in-law, three sisters-in-law.

John was born in Hague, SK as the second of twelve children.  John and Mary were married in August 1965 and lived in Winnipeg for the first 9 years of their marriage, where John worked at various jobs in the trucking industry.  In 1974 they, along with their young family of three boys moved to MacGregor.  John tried different jobs for the first few years until he again returned to driving truck until his retirement, at which time he purchased a 47 passenger bus to which he thoroughly enjoyed “bussing” various groups to many different events all around Canada and the US with UNSABUS.

John dealt with multiple ailments, especially in the last couple of years.  Although we are extremely saddened and will miss him dearly, we are praising and thanking God, that he did not have to suffer through it all any longer and is reunited with his family and friends gone before him.
