Kenneth Gary Emerson

Ken was born March 2, 1935, in MacGregor, Manitoba to John and Viola Emerson.  He was raised in MacGregor and attended school in MacGregor.  His first job was with Lye’s Hardware delivering coal and progressing into the plumbing and heating field.  Gary married Lily Jensine Wilson in 1957 and they had four children.  They lived in various communities in Saskatchewan and Manitoba from 1966-1973 before returning to live in MacGregor and started work at Cobbe’s Plumbing and Heating and was employed there until his retirement.  After the loss of his wife Lily, he became life partners with Marie Peters and they had two children. 

He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed spending time hunting, fishing and camping with his family. He loved to dance and was the first on the dance floor when a good polka song came on. 

Ken is predeceased by his wife Lily Emerson, daughter Kimberly Emerson, brother Ron Emerson, and grandson Robert Emerson. 

Ken is survived sons Kenneth Emerson, Dwight Emerson, Raymond Peters, George Emerson; daughter Christine Peters; Marie Peters; grandchildren Evan, Nathan, Taylah, Emily, Kayleen, Savannah, Isiah, Abellana, Marques, Bella, Javier, Santiago; greatgrandchildren Arianna, Cameron, Weston, Beckett, and Lila.
