Larry Roulette Obituary

With profound sadness, we announce the sudden passing of our beloved brother Larry Joseph Roulette aka Kooluck. He was called home on April 7, 2026 at his residence at the age of 60. Kooluck was born in Gladstone, MB. He was a loving brother, father, uncle, grandpa, godfather, cousin, and friend to all those whose lives he touched.

Kooluck attended school in Sandy Bay as a child. Throughout his years he enjoyed activities and outings with family and friends. He also had a passion for hunting wildlife and game with many family and friends. Kooluck worked harvesting at Prairie Potato Farms in Bagot, MB in the fall season, and also did wood cutting in Sandy Bay. He loved doing many things in his lifetime, like working on small engines (atv, bikes, etc.) and vehicles. Kooluck’s favourite colour was blue. He also loved giving family and friends nicknames.

Larry (Kooluck) will be greatly and lovingly missed and survived by his sisters Eleanor (Michael), Donna (Edward), Debbie (Tony), and Brenna; daughter Lillian Roulette; godchildren Robert Levasseaur, Tyler Beaulieu, and Alison Roulette; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Larry was preceded in death by his grandparents Mary Jane and Jean Baptiste (Sam) Roulette; mother Nora Jane Sanderson; father Percy St. Paul (Francis); brother Derek Sanderson; uncles Elzear, Norman, and Robert Roulette; nephews Shawn and Michael Roulette.

All who loved Kooluck dearly will never forget his kindness, humour, and unconditional love and care for anyone who had the privilege of knowing him and being in his presence.

Kooluck

My dear brother, now that you are gone

You’re no longer here to share

The bond we had together—

A bond of love and care.

Yet, somehow something tells me

You are watching over me—

Now from worldly cares

You are finally free.

I miss you so very much,

And my tears cannot hide

Yet, within my heart, I feel

You are always by my side.

Ever since you went away

Life has never been the same

Yet, it comforts me to know

That one day we’ll meet again.
