It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend Laura Louise Preisentanz on September 5,2022 at St. Boniface Hospital.
Laura was born in Winnipeg on April 21, 1953. She was predeceased by her father, Cliff; Father-in-law Ernie; Mother-in-law Phyllis; and beautiful son, Neil. Laura leaves to mourn, her beloved husband, Clare; children, Scott (Leanne), and Krystle (Darrell); grandsons Kiptyn and Evan; mother, Terry; siblings, Lionel (Dawn), Susie, Heather (Bernie), Dale; In-laws, Billy (Dianne), Maureen (Sid), Corine (Otto), Connie-Lou; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Laura was born at the Women’s Pavilion in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Raised by her parents Cliff and Terry Paggett moving with the Air Force to France, Trenton, ON, and ending up back in Winnipeg where she graduated from Silver Heights High School. She furthered her education and became a Health Records Technician which she did until her retirement from Neepawa Hospital in the fall of 2020.
Laura was a force, she could light up or take down a room in moments with her infectious laugh and straight to the point personality. She taught us to fear nothing, and not to hold back. Those who knew her well, knew she loved with everything she had, a loyal friend and fierce protector of everyone she cared about. She loved to dance, didn’t matter the music as long as it had rhythm, she did too!
A great light has been dimmed too soon. We are left with broken hearts, many hearts that felt the everlasting love of a woman who didn’t always give what we thought we needed, but gave us everything she had.
The family would like to thank Dr. Krishnan and the staff of the ACCU for the care she received.
A private family service will be held.
If friends so desire memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation;
