Lorne passed away peacefully June 26, 2024 after a lengthy illness, with his spouse by his side.
Lorne was born July 14, 1948 in Norquay SK and attended school in Bowsman MB and University of Manitoba. He moved to Vancouver to work at and eventually manage grocery stores, moving back to MB in 1986 to manage grocery stores in Minnedosa and Erickson. He returned to Bowsman to farm with family for a few years, then on to Brandon to renovate and manage rental properties.
In his retirement he and Karen enjoyed travel, particularly to their special place in the Dominican Republic. Lorne will be remembered for his outgoing personality, his amazing singing voice, and a sense of humour that amused him as much as anyone else!
Lorne leaves to mourn his spouse Karen and children and step-children Michael, Natasha, Darcy, Baron, as well as partners Jennifer and Leslie. He will also be remembered by his grandchildren Mykaela, Linden, Kayla, Avery, Josh, and Charlie, as well as his brother and sisters and extended family members.
There will be no funeral at Lorne’s request and we will celebrate Lorne’s memory at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
