Leonard Carl Nelson 72, passed away peacefully with family by his side on October 22, 2025.
Born July 15,1953 in Carberry, MB. Second child of the late John (Jack) and Nellie Nelson of Pine Creek.
As a young child Leonard loved farm animals and machinery.
He loved fast cars, quads, and snowmobiles. Every year he loved volunteering at the Manitoba Agriculture Museum.
He received his education at Norfolk, Austin, and MacGregor schools.
Leonard then worked at Carnation Foods for a couple years, before being employed by the Canadian National Railway for the next 33 years.
Leonard lived in the same house helping his parents. He lived there for over 50 years.
After retirement Leonard enjoyed visiting with neighbours and family. He loved to visit with his great nieces and nephews.
After his health deteriorated he made his home at the Carberry Personal Care home.
He leaves to mourn his sister Marlene, children Jody and Kyle. Brothers, Lyle (Donna), son Ryan (Chantel), and Kevin (Fran), children Larsen(Nicki) and Ainsley. Great nieces Myla and Zoie. Great nephews Ryker and Radley. Many cousins and friends.
Predeceased by his dad and mom and niece Erin.
