Madeline Ann (Clarke) Birch

Madeline Ann Birch passed away peacefully following a courageous battle with cancer on April 25, 2026 at the Neepawa Memorial Hospital at the age of 82 years.

Born November 7, 1943 at Melita, Mb. and received her education in Lyleton, Tenby and Glenella.  On August 24, 1968, she married Ross (Pinky) Birch and they resided in Neepawa.

Madeline’s first job was at the Neepawa Bus Depot where she worked for many years.  She was employed after that at Marr Fashions and Harris Pharmacy until her retirement.

Left to cherish Madeline’s memory is her son Rob (Ang) and granddaughter Kenzie.  She will also be missed by her brothers Pat (Marie), Tom (Eleanor), Bob(Eileen); sisters Mary (Hugh) McLean, Sheila Foxon; brothers-in-law Donnie Birch and Frank Seddon; sisters-in-law Nancy Birch and Penny Birch; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Following Ross’s death Madeline moved to Howden Place where she made many special friends, Mary Ellen, June, Elaine, Florence and many others.

The family would like to thank Madeline’s home care staff and the doctors and staff at the Neepawa Hospital for their kindness and compassion.
