Margaret Driedger

June 19, 2020

Obituary

Passed away June 19, 2020 at Portage General Hospital at the age of 76 years and 15 days. Margaret was born June 4, 1944 in Winkler, Manitoba to parents Frank & Elizabeth Kehler. She loved her husband John.

She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved going flower shopping with Dar because that was usually an all day venture and the flowers rarely got planted that day because they were both exhausted. She loved spending countless hours in the garden weeding and checking for fresh vegetables that almost always had to pass the taste test before they made it into the house. She also loved watching, talking and feeding the birds.

When her children were young she started going to bingo as a Thursday night reprieve and kept going to bingo because it was one of the things that she learned to love. When she moved to Plumas she could hardly wait for Mag to tell her to get ready because Kathy was on her way to pick her up for bingo.

Mom and Dad also really enjoyed packing us all up and  going for drives, we would sometimes just go out for an icecream or stop in at one of her brother or sisters house and spend the whole day visiting. Sometimes we didn’t even call ahead, we just stopped in and had a wonderful day with family.

Mom had a very kind heart and will be terribly missed by us all, we the family would like to thank everyone for your kind words, thoughts and prayers and the endless stream of “ social distancing” hugs.
