Margaret Ginter Obituary

Cynthia “Margaret” Rose Ginter (Fidler) was born in Dry River Municipality of Manitoba to Ben and Rose Fidler on June 22, 1935.  The family moved to Ethel Saskatchewan for several years and then back to Glenora and Neelin, Manitoba.

Margaret attended several country schools in the area including Glenora and Neelin where she cherished many life long friends and was forever grateful to attend the Glenora School Home Coming.  After school Margaret moved to Crystal City, Manitoba and worked in the hospital.  Margaret married Frank Ginter at Crystal City on November 7, 1959.  From there they moved to the Municipality of Glenella where they farmed.

Margaret had many passions: spending time with family, grandchildren, sewing, quilting, camping, travelling, playing cards, raising turkeys and chickens and tending to her special cactus plants.

Margaret’s life was so much more than words could describe.  The way she lived her life, hard work, giving not only of her time but always when there was only one piece of pie left she never seemed to be hungry. Our Mom had a strong spirit and determination to keep us on our toes.

Margaret was predeceased by her parents Ben and Rose Fiddler, father and mother in laws John and Helena  Ginter, daughter Beverly, son Curtis, sister Ruth, brothers in law Karl E, Karl P, Eugene, Mike, Lawrence, George and sister-in-law Anne,

Margaret was survived by her husband of 64 years Frank, sons Brent, Todd, daughter Cindy and grandchildren Kayla, Kelis, Grace, and great grandchild Everett, sisters Doreen, Winnie and brother Ray, as well as many brother and sister in laws, nieces, and nephews.

A special thank you too many friends and family who visited mom throughout her challenging days. You gave her a real spark and a smile to her heart. Thank you Doctor Sharma, the nurses and all your team for your care, treatment and amazing comfort you so generously gave mom and all the family. There are no words that can describe what amazing people you are. Thank you!

We are extremely blessed to have Margaret for so many years in our life as a friend, a wife, mom, grandma and just last year a great grandma. Her memories will forever live in our hearts. Mom has left a huge emptiness in our lives, but we are comforted knowing she is resting peacefully now.

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
How do you know Margaret Ginter?
We are sorry for your loss.
Help others honor Margaret's memory.
