Margaret Schulz Obituary

Margaret Schulz  - Sep 6, 1934 - Dec 11, 2024

Margaret was born on September 6, 1934 in Boissevain Manitoba.  She was one of 11 children born to Aaron and Elizabeth Peters.  Her parents moved to Canada from Russia before Margaret was born.  Margaret grew up on a farm in Manitoba.  After she graduated she went on to receive a Degree in Psychology.

Margaret married Hubert Schulz in March of 1958.  Together they raised 3 children, Anna, David and Ruth.  The children arrived in quick succession while they resided in North Battleford, Prince Albert, Winnipeg and Moose Jaw. In 1964 they moved to Kitchener, ON and Brantford in 1968. In 1975 they moved to Wellandport where they operated group homes until 1989.

Hubert and Margaret moved back to Manitoba to enjoy their retirement in the Province they both grew up in.  Hubert passed away in March of 2017, at 83.

Margaret was the proud grandmother of 6 and great grandmother of 12.  She loved them all immensely.

Margaret moved to Victoria Place in MacGregor in 2018, and made lasting friendships there.  Margaret belonged to a bible study group which she attended for many years.  Some of her interests were gardening, playing chess, knitting, crocheting, reading and arts and crafts.

Margaret moved into Third Crossing Manor in June of 2023.  While there she enjoyed listening to gospel music, fun and fit exercises and worship services. .

Anna and Tim and their 4 sons, their wives and 11 grandchildren, and 1 future granddaughter- in-law, enjoyed celebrating her 90th Birthday with her in September of 2024 at Third Crossing Manor in Gladstone with her friends and staff there.

Margaret’s family are grateful for the care she received in her final years while at Third Crossing Manor.

Margaret passed away peacefully on December 11, 2024.
