It is with profound sadness we announce the unexpected passing of Norman Wayne Dahmer on Friday, December 13, 2024, at the age of 61 years.
He was born October 26, 1963, to George and Eleanor Dahmer. He grew up on the family farm near Austin, where he attended Austin School until Grade 9, before transferring to MacGregor High School, where he graduated. After graduation, he worked various jobs and helped his dad on the farm when he could. He began wrestling in 1982 and wrestled on and off for a few years. He had fond memories of this time and would tell many stories about the experiences he had in the ring and traveling with his wrestling buddies.
In 1986, he purchased the home quarter from his parents, marking the beginning of his lifelong farming career. Norm was proud to be the third generation to farm and raise cattle on the land.
In the fall of 2000, he married Teri Lei Maben and they continued farming near Sidney, MB. They welcomed their daughter Tia in 2002.
Norm is survived by his wife Teri Lei; daughter Tia; sister Linda (John); brother Keith; as well as nieces, nephews, and extended family.
He was predeceased by his parents, George and Eleanor, and his brother Walter.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
