We regret to announce on Sunday, September 14, 2025, Phil passed away surrounded by love, after a battle with cancer.
Phil was born on February 22, 1962 , the youngest child of Louis and Julia Kelemen of Langruth, Manitoba. He grew up loving farm life and animals, learned a strong work ethic was the way to be, and he instilled this in his children. Phil married the love of his life Holly (Hordesky) on October 26, 1985, and began their farming career, taking over from his Dad and Mom.
Phil loved his cows, his horses, and his dogs. He could easily remember the history of many of his cows. He was called many times to assist the neighbors cows if they were having trouble, and often said he’d have liked being a veterinarian. Seeing the spring calves racing and playing in the warm sunshine, made him smile.
Phil was an athlete. Playing hockey was such a part of his life, if he signed up to play, there wasn’t much that would stop him from going. He made so many connections, that lasted a lifetime.
Once they retired, he was able to go to Saskatchewan tournaments which he looked forward to each year. Hunting season, with the gang was another thing he truly enjoyed, whether they got what they wanted or not. Later on he took up golfing, and played whenever he had the chance. He still was a farm boy at heart and found himself some work at a dairy which he loved.
In August of this year, we were lucky enough to share one more wiener roast together with family.
Phil leaves to mourn, wife Holly; children Jessica (Domenic), grandchildren Marco and Sofia; Daniel (Brittany) grandson Ashton; Martin and grandson
